About NPCIL : NPCIL is a public sector enterprise administrated and controlled by DAE (Department of Atomic Energy), Government of India. In September 1987 this company was registered as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 with the objectives of operating atomic power plants to generate electricity in pursuance of the schemes and programs of the Indian Government.
NCPIL, a PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), also holds equity participation in BHAVINI, which spearheads the implementation of the Fast Breeder Reactors program nationwide
The NPCIL designs, builds, commissions, and operates nuclear power reactors. With a high credit rating (AAA from CRISIL and CARE), NPCIL is a company that signs MoUs, makes profits and pays dividends.
With an installed capacity of 7480 MW, NPCIL operates 23 commercial nuclear power reactors. The reactor fleet includes two Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs), 19 Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs), among which is the 100 MW PHWR in Rajasthan owned by the Government of India through DAE, and two VVER reactors with a capacity of 1000 MW each.
The Government of India has approved new sites ‘in principle’, allowing for early launch of projects at these sites through pre-project activities.
NPCIL carries out CSR activities and implements SD projects as a responsible corporate citizen. NPCIL is compliance to Corporate Governance as per guidelines issued by Department of Public Enterprises (DPE).

Eligibility Criteria
- The Candidate should completed BE/B Tech/B Sc (Engineering)/5 year Integrated M Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation) as mentioned in below table from University/Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE/UGC.
- All Applicants must have a valid GATE-2022 or GATE-2023 or GATE-2024 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.
- Candidates who have done 5 years integrated course leading to M.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline may also apply subject to fulfilling other laid down criteria.
